Feel the Beat: Dance in Photographs

Photographs of dancers, from the stage to the nightclub, by Imogen Cunningham, Eikoh Hosoe, Malick Sidibé, Nan Goldin and others.

Drawn mostly from the museum’s collection, it opens with the Bay Area choreographer Anna Halprin, turns to collaborations such as Eikoh Hosoe’s Kamaitachi with the Butoh founder Tatsumi Hijikata, and ends on the dance floor with Malick Sidibé’s Mali Twist.
