The Large Glass

The MAXXI collection of art, architecture and photography, arranged by the American artist Alex Da Corte around the elements and natural change.

MAXXI now invites an artist or thinker to arrange its collection. Da Corte, who works across painting, sculpture, installation, performance and video, reads it through Zaha Hadid’s curving building, in terms of water, wind, fire and earth, growth, decay and transformation, setting works by masters beside those of contemporary artists.
