MAXXI

Nov 25, 2026 – Jan 31, 2027 Flaminio

Opening soon

Futurist masterpieces shown alongside new works by three contemporary Italian artists who imagine the near future.

The show sets out to bring the Futurists into their own future, today, treating them as theorists who anticipated the present. Speed and simultaneity, two of their central ideas, are its guiding themes.

Works by Giacomo Balla, Umberto Boccioni, Tullio Crali, Ferdinando Depero, De Pistoris, Gerardo Dottori, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti and Růžena Zátková are joined by new pieces from Fabio Giampietro, Donato Piccolo and Quayola, inspired by Futurist theory. Curated by Gabriele Simongini.
