Five Centuries of Works on Paper: The Grunwald Center at 70, Part II
Jun 7 – Oct 25, 2026 Westwood
More than 70 prints, drawings and photographs from UCLA’s Grunwald Center, marking its 70th year, from Dürer and Hiroshige to Kara Walker.
The second half of the anniversary show draws on a collection that began in 1956 with the Los Angeles collector Fred Grunwald’s gift of prints and now holds more than 45,000 works on paper, from the Renaissance to the present. Among the artists are Dürer, Piranesi, Degas, Munch, Kollwitz, Klimt, Picasso, Matisse, Imogen Cunningham, Jasper Johns, Helen Frankenthaler, Catherine Opie and Julie Mehretu. Naoko Takahatake and Cynthia Burlingham curate.
