¡Te Amo Porque S.O.S. Pueblo!
Blanka Amezkua, Danny Aros, Marco Saavedra and 20 others
Oct 7, 2026 – Feb 7, 2027 Flushing Meadows Corona Park
Works by 23 artists affected by immigration, each conceived as an altar to grief, memory and resistance.
Subtitled Altares Ocultos de Duelo y Memoria (Hidden Altars of Grief and Remembrance), the show presents artists affected by immigration and the communities they represent. Each work serves as an altar honoring ancestors and mourning lives lost to state violence, while pointing to new traditions of collective care.
It is the fifth edition of the ¡Te Amo Porque S.O.S. Pueblo! project, organized by guest curator Guadalupe Ambrosio as a Community Partnership Exhibition alongside the museum’s Día de Muertos Community Ofrenda.
