Oct 9 – Nov 1, 2026 Chinatown
New and recent acrylic paintings of quiet, solitary New York street and night scenes, curated by Fernando Pintado.
Pagán paints everyday urban moments in acrylic on canvas and linen, with soft, meditative brushwork: a chained bicycle, a late dinner at a food truck, fans watching the World Cup on a sidewalk TV in Queens, a security guard’s desk, and green construction walls with diamond cut-outs.
Curator Fernando Pintado reads the paintings as studies in loneliness, in the spirit of Hopper’s Nighthawks. Pagán, born in San Juan in 1984, showed this year at Feria Material in Mexico City.
