Five long-form photo projects made with Fujifilm’s large format GFX system, one from each year of the grant program.

The Fujifilm GFX Challenge Grant gives photographers funding, mentorship and use of Fujifilm’s large format digital cameras. ICP’s curators chose one project from each of the first five years, 2021 to 2025.

Rodrigo Illescas photographs Argentine towns abandoned after train lines closed; Katie Orlinsky, the Inuvialuit reindeer herd; Shina Peng, her family’s history between Taiwan and Hunan; Reinis Hofmanis, Latvia’s fortified eastern border; and Lee-Ann Olwage, Amazigh women weavers in Morocco. It is presented as part of FUJIKINA NYC 2026.
