Solo exhibition
Jordan Wolfson
Sep 18 – Oct 24, 2026 Chelsea
New wall sculptures by Jordan Wolfson in polished aluminum and spikes, each set with a photograph, in his first Gagosian show in New York.
The wall pieces share one size, 56 by 88 inches: hand-polished aluminum fitted with aluminum spikes and a photograph printed on aluminum, under automotive clearcoat. The pictures, found online or in personal and academic archives, touch on art history and popular culture; two reproduce Renoir’s 1879 portrait of Marguerite-Thérèse Berard and Robert Mapplethorpe’s Tulip (1984). A polished aluminum floor sculpture is also on view.
