Vera’s new paintings are made with oil, oil stick and concrete on canvas, several in wood frames. Their titles draw on hope, daydreams, sunrise and sunset, and the olive tree, mixing English and Spanish, and two refer to pentimenti, the traces of earlier layers beneath a painted surface.
The show follows Vera’s 2023 exhibition Circadian Memories at Make Room and his 2026 solo presentation at Alexander Berggruen in New York.
