Ceramic, cardboard, airbrush and photographic storefronts by six artists probing consumerism, identity and nostalgia.

Six artists turn the gallery into a row of mock storefronts. Reniel Del Rosario models canned goods and passports in ceramic to satirize commodification; Kathryn Kenworth builds a shelf of recycled-cardboard products; Kevin Lopez Pardillo works in mixed-media sculpture and airbrush drawing drawn from the Chicano “rasquache” tradition of making do with what’s at hand.

Madi Reyes reworks familiar packaging and branding, Jasmine Ross photographs a mannequin-like portrait exploring Black memory and care, and Jeffrey Sincich quilts found objects into pieces about the built landscape. Together the storefronts examine how empire, ecology and desire shape everyday consumer life.
