Eternal Paris: Photographing the City of Light

Legion of Honor

Sep 5, 2026 – Apr 4, 2027 Lincoln Park

Nearly 50 photographs of Paris from the 19th and early 20th centuries, drawn from the museum’s collection.

The show follows how early photographers recorded the city’s monuments and old streets as it turned into a modern capital. It includes views of the ruins left after the Paris Commune of 1871 and Eugène Atget’s pictures of a city about to change.

It is included in general admission.
