Solo exhibition
Pontormo
Oct 9, 2026 – Feb 7, 2027 Trevi
The first major monographic exhibition on Pontormo (1494–1557), built around his Visitation from the church at Carmignano.
Paintings and drawings by the Florentine master, who worked at the turn from the High Renaissance to Mannerism, come from the Uffizi, which organized the show with the Scuderie, and from lenders including the Louvre, the National Gallery in London, the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Getty.
The route is broadly chronological, with sections on key moments of his career. Cristina Acidini curates, with Elena Capretti, Philippe Costamagna, Bruce Edelstein and Carlo Falciani.
