Isaac JulienAll That Changes You. Metamorphosis

Isaac Julien’s 2025 film inspired by Giulio Romano’s frescoes at Palazzo Te, recast for the Uccelliera as a single screen multiplied by mirrors.

Sheila Atim and Gwendoline Christie play two prophetic, celestial figures who travel from Palazzo Te in Mantua to Charles Jencks’s Cosmic House in London and the redwood forests of California. First made as a ten-screen installation, the film draws on Donna Haraway, Naomi Mitchison and Octavia E. Butler. Shown with Metamorfosi. Ovidio e le arti in the 17th-century aviary pavilion; curated by Lorenzo Giusti.
