Johan CretenLes Chiens de Pavlov
Creten’s eleventh show at Perrotin, and sixth in Paris, built around a wall made from his late father’s early computers.
At the center stands a wall built from the early computers Creten’s father collected over four decades, put together by the family after his death. Around it, older works return beside new ones: ceramics, bronzes and drawings from 1988 to 2026, including Miami Eagle / Le Con-dort, a 2002 stoneware piece now cast in bronze.
Ceramic seats dedicated to the seven virtues stand in the rooms, and the last room holds abstract works. The title points to Pavlov’s conditioned dogs and to resisting automatic responses.
