Céleste Richard-ZimmermannToutes les colonnes n’ont pas un cœur de pierre

Palais de Tokyo

Oct 21, 2026 – Jan 10, 2027 Trocadéro

Opening soon

Sculptures, bas-reliefs, paintings and sound by Céleste Richard-Zimmermann, staged like an abandoned quarry around a giant broken, hollow column.

The winner of the Prix des Amis du Palais de Tokyo turns the vocabulary of official statuary on its head, working in stone, plaster, copper and polystyrene so that fakes pass for the real thing. A headless, hollow column anchors the show, which draws on the history of monuments pulled down in revolutions and on graffiti, workshop marks and weathering.

Curated by Horya Makhlouf; the show travels to the CEAAC in Strasbourg in 2027.
