Photographs from Karen Knorr’s India Song series pairing grand architectural interiors with digitally inserted wild animals.
Knorr, an American-British photographer raised in Puerto Rico, shows work from her India Song series as part of the PhotoSaintGermain festival. She photographs grand architectural interiors on large-format and digital cameras, then digitally inserts animals observed in reserves, zoos and museums, blurring the real and the imagined.
The selection responds to the museum’s own exhibition on Delacroix’s animal subjects, echoing his big cats, horses and peacocks.
