Forty years since Yvon Lambert opened his gallery at this address, with artists both dealers have championed.

Lambert opened his space at 108 rue Vieille du Temple on Sept 20, 1986, with a show of Cy Twombly, and ran it until 2014. David Zwirner took over the building in 2019. The show marks the anniversary and draws out the overlaps between the two programs, with many artists who showed with both.

The gallery’s page also reproduces archive material from Lambert’s exhibitions, such as invitations and show cards for On Kawara, Richard Serra and Lawrence Weiner, to trace the Paris–New York exchange that shaped his program.
