Oscar MurilloUnfinished thinking: Paintings and Social Maps
New paintings by Oscar Murillo, announced only with a free-associating text by the artist about travel, labor, crowds and places.
Rather than describing the works, the gallery’s announcement gives a short prose-poem by Murillo. It runs through the speed of a flight, the sea and terrain, repeated labor, crowds and the marks and scars they leave, color, and a string of places, among them Colombia, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, the Philippines, the UK, Poland and Germany, and closes on the collective as a field of spirits.
