Two-person exhibition
Post-Fair Paris
Pauline Rintsch and Kim Stolz
Small paintings on linen, jute and wood by Kim Stolz, geometric and abstract, and Pauline Rintsch, figurative, shown at a Paris fair booth.
The gallery’s booth at Post-Fair in Paris pairs two Düsseldorf painters for whom form arises from the support itself. Stolz builds layered geometric structures from repeated strokes, without sketches, letting the weave of jute and the folds of linen shape the result; each work is titled for the time it was finished.
Rintsch paints translucent oil figures on linen and wood, with detached ears and eyes, pinching hands, and drifting fruit and frogs. Both artists have previously shown with the gallery in New York.
