Solo exhibition
Doris Salcedo
A monumental new installation in rice, hair, resin and thread, made over three years in Salcedo’s Bogotá studio.
The new work is related to Uprooted (2020–22), which Salcedo first showed at the 2023 Sharjah Biennial. She calls her work “a topology of mourning”: sculpture and installations drawn from Colombia’s history of political violence. The show comes more than ten years after her US retrospective, which opened at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago in 2015 and traveled to the Guggenheim and the Pérez Art Museum Miami.
