Keepsake
Andrew Alba, Ben Skinner, Carrie Crawford, Damien Davis and others
New paintings, textiles, photographs, sculpture and works on paper by twelve artists, on art as a carrier of messages and memories.
The gallery’s annual Keepsake show considers how an artwork can carry a message, recollection or metaphor from its maker to a viewer. Twelve artists contribute new work, each in a different vein.
The range runs from Andrew Alba’s impasto oils and Carrie Crawford’s indigo-dyed textiles to Damien Davis’s laser-cut acrylic, Liesl Pfeffer’s quilted tapestries and Katrine Hildebrandt-Hussey’s burned paper.
