Gaetano PesceA Chair Is A Nest, Is A Foot, Is A…
Sep 16 – Oct 24, 2026 Carnegie Hill
Anthea Hamilton’s selection from the archive of the late designer Gaetano Pesce, pairing famous pieces with drawings, prototypes and unrealized proposals.
Hamilton, who has studied Pesce’s work since finding a book on him as a student in 2009, sets well-known pieces such as UP7 (1969), Tramonto a New York (1980) and the Golgotha table (1972) beside original drawings, material studies, prototypes and proposals, most of them from his archive. The show fills the first floor, below her own solo show, Comfort Zones.
