Oil paintings and large cyanotypes on cotton sateen that use layered color to frame the figure and the space around it.
Sanders pairs two bodies of work: figurative oil paintings built from vivid, layered color, and cyanotypes whose Prussian blue is worked through transparency, layering and value to suggest water, atmosphere and light.
Both explore how color shapes the way we inhabit space and gives visible form to sensation. A cyanotype workshop with the artist accompanies the show.
