Sculpture, drawings and prints revisiting Oldenburg’s 1975 survey built around six recurring subjects, from the Geometric Mouse to the Clothespin.

The show restages Six Themes, the 1975 Walker Art Center survey that traced six subjects across Oldenburg’s work: Geometric Mouse, Three-Way Plug, Fagends, Clothespin, Typewriter Eraser and Standing Mitt with Ball. Works come from the artist’s estate and from public and private loans, and a vitrine of archive images shows how large versions were fabricated at Lippincott.

It is the first exhibition in fifty years to focus on this body of work, and comes with an illustrated brochure with a text by David Platzker.
