Michael Wilkinsonfluorochiaroscuro

P.P.O.W.

Sep 9 – Oct 24, 2026 Tribeca

Still-life paintings of cut flowers and fruit heightened with fluorescent pigment, in the Glasgow artist’s first solo show with the gallery.

Wilkinson photographs bouquets, cherry blossom branches or a single apple set against linen stretched in a thin aluminum frame, then paints them, leaving the canvas bare where the linen shows and hanging the finished work in the same kind of frame. Fluorescent pigments sharpen the fall of light.

Some works, such as the three Delphinium paintings of 2026, follow one subject as its shadows shift over a day; one still life is painted on board with an etched mirror.
