Paintings of clouds treated as portraits, shown with Kim’s paintings of faces, in her second solo show with the gallery.

The new work spans three series. In the cloud paintings, small and similarly composed, a single cloud takes the place of a sitter, above loose strokes of green countryside and blue sea; one mark can stand for a house, a tree or a crescent moon.

In the later rooms these hang beside her portraits of faces, so the clouds take on temperament and mood while the faces are seen for their light, color and movement.
