Group exhibition
settle for a good fantasy
Janice Guy, Joe Mama-Nitzberg, Shaun Pierson, David Seidner
Sep 11 – Oct 31, 2026
Portraits by four photographers who piece their subjects together from fragments rather than a single, idealized image.
Named after a line by Fran Lebowitz, the show brings together Janice Guy’s self-portraits from the 1970s, new prints by Shaun Pierson, and work by Joe Mama-Nitzberg and the late fashion photographer David Seidner. Each builds a picture of a person out of mismatched parts, leaving the gaps and contradictions in view.
Apart from Pierson, who was in a 2024 group show, it is the first time the gallery has shown these artists.
