Yun Hyong-keun

Judd Foundation

Oct 8, 2026 – Jan 16, 2027 SoHo

Six umber and ultramarine oil paintings on linen from 1993, restaging the artist’s first New York solo show.

The show reconstructs Yun’s 1993 exhibition at 101 Spring Street, one of his first solo shows in the United States, chosen by Yun and Donald Judd. Five of the original six paintings are shown with a sixth from the same series, made the same year and at the same size.

The works layer umber and ultramarine pigment over many sessions on unprimed canvas, building density and color. It marks the public opening of the Yun Hyong-keun House in Seoul.
