Small photomontage collages assembled from cut-up printed details of her own earlier paintings.

Thirty-three small photomontages, each 4 by 6 inches, built from snippets of printed details cut from Goodman’s own earlier paintings and recombined into new compositions. She likens the process to the jigsaw puzzles she assembled during the pandemic, fitting shapes together until a result emerges that still reads as a quintessential Goodman work.

The series extends a strategy she used in two mixed-media paintings shown at Sikkema Malloy Jenkins in 2025, where cut-out printed sections of past works introduced a quotational element. Goodman, who lives and works upstate, has had more than forty solo exhibitions and is represented by that gallery.
