Fernberger

Contemporary paintings and sculpture by eleven artists, shown among historical furniture, design and decorative objects.

Organized by Emma Fernberger of the Los Angeles gallery Fernberger, the show sets new work by eleven artists beside chairs, lighting, glassware, carpets and cabinets from Jacqueline Sullivan Gallery’s own holdings, by makers such as George Nakashima, Ettore Sottsass and Gaetano Pesce.

Objects of different eras and origins are paired through color, gesture and material, without ranking art over design or old over new. The artists include Stephen Truax, Nik Gelormino, Federico de Francesco, Greta Waller, Phil Davis and Alina Perkins.
