Six contemporary artists pair their work with Iranian, Turkish and Indian objects collected by the museum’s first patron.

Each of six contemporary artists responds to NYU’s Abby Weed Grey Collection, showing new or existing work beside historic pieces Grey acquired between 1960 and 1975 on her travels to Iran, Turkey and India. The show asks how art and ideas move between cultures.

Collection artists include Mustafa Aslier, Prabhakar Barwe and Behjat Sadr. Alison Weaver, the museum’s director, curated the show.
