Bea ScacciaGroomed
Sep 22 – Dec 23, 2026 Upper East Side
Seven new paintings of night-lit rooms heaped with wigs, costume jewelry, shoes and fabric that almost assemble into figures.
Under fringed lamps, book lights and candles, the accessories gather into faceless figures with puppet-like limbs in fishnet tights, caught trying to sit, read, climb or exercise. Scaccia mutes her colors by mixing gesso into acrylic, then reworks them with airbrush and picks out details in oil.
Her first show with the gallery, it is the second in a series of solo presentations curated by Francesco Bonami.
