About fifty works on paper by twenty-nine artists, selected from a Hong Kong private collection.

Curator Olivia Shao draws on the Burger Collection’s more than 1,000 works on paper to build a focused essay on shared historical, poetic and philosophical concerns, with Hong Kong and New York as twin points of reference and Eastern thought and Western philosophy as guides.

The show fills the whole gallery and continues The Drawing Center’s tradition of private-collection exhibitions. It travels in an expanded form to Asia Society Hong Kong in 2027, with a catalog co-published with that institution.
