Free-standing and wall sculptures alongside layered collages on paper, a tapestry and photographs, spanning the range of Booker’s practice beyond her rubber-tire work.
Booker’s third solo show with the gallery, and its first at the new Tribeca space, moves beyond the monochrome rubber-tire sculptures she is best known for to show the breadth of her work across media.
Alongside sculptures ranging from small to monumental, the show features multilayered collages on paper, a practice she has kept since 2009, made by tearing and cutting thin papers that turn translucent in printing so each layer bleeds into the next. A tapestry developed from one of these collages and a series of photographs round out the exhibition.
