Two-person exhibition
Daniel Buren and Barbara Kasten
Sep 9 – Oct 31, 2026 Tribeca
Daniel Buren’s recent mirrored, prismatic wall reliefs paired with Barbara Kasten’s Construct Polaroids of 1981–1983, studio arrangements of mirrors and geometric forms.
Buren’s reliefs of aluminum prisms and mirrored panels in bold colors rise nearly eight feet and jut from the wall into the room, their mirrors catching parts of the space a viewer is not facing.
Kasten built temporary arrangements of mirrors, screens, plexiglass and geometric solids in her studio and photographed them on Polaroid, flattening them into images where depth and scale are hard to read; the sets were then taken apart.
