Victoria MunroSaltwater Taffy
Wall-based geometric abstractions in ceramic and fiber that pair precise forms with visible seams, joins and woven structures.
Munro makes geometric abstractions from clay and fiber, treating queerness as a method for unsettling what looks fixed. Clay brings architectural weight yet keeps the marks of touch and fracture, while fiber adds softness, repetition and domestic, handmade associations.
The works look controlled from a distance but show seams, irregular surfaces and woven structures up close. The wall acts as an active field where forms hover, intersect and cast shadows.
