Group exhibition
Whispers of the Natural World
Jon Bunge, Ellen Chuse, Axelle Destaing and Sohn Plenefisch
Branch sculptures, acrylic paintings on paper, camera-movement photographs and a large painting, all drawn from the natural world.
Four artists respond to nature in different mediums. Jon Bunge shows three tree-branch sculptures, two wall-mounted and one on a pedestal. Ellen Chuse paints organic forms in layered, saturated acrylic on paper.
Axelle Destaing’s abstract photographs use Intentional Camera Movement to render sea, sky, soil and air. Sohn Plenefisch’s Anthropocene is a three-canvas painting of a smoke-filled sky with a lone bird, about humanity’s fraught relationship with the environment.
