Tim Gardner

New watercolors by Tim Gardner of New York, London and Los Angeles, painted from photographs taken over several years, in the gallery’s Project Room.

Among the small sheets are Bethesda Fountain, Tower Bridge Sunrise, Bermondsey St. and Surfer at Venice Pier; many of the places shown have changed since the photographs were taken. Water runs through the set, from the Thames to the surf at Venice Pier. Gardner, born in Iowa City and based in Alberta, has painted from photographs in watercolor for more than thirty years.
