Sixteen paintings and six drawings made between 2017 and 2022, spanning the mature phase of Kahn’s five-decade career.
The exhibition gathers works from across half a decade to give a coherent view of Kahn’s recent painting and drawing practice, her first show with 15 Orient and her first solo exhibition at a commercial gallery in New York.
Kahn trained at the Kansas City Art Institute and Yale, and won a Guggenheim fellowship in 2004; she has shown previously at artist-run and regional galleries in New York, Charlottesville and Philadelphia, as well as in group exhibitions at the Albright-Knox and the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art.
