Quiet, muted works by nineteen South African gallery artists, gathered around the idea of winter as a season of rest.

The group show takes its cue from the idea of “wintering”, the notion that life is not meant to be productive all the time. It brings together works of stillness and intensity that favour reduced light and a muted palette over bright display.

Nineteen artists are included, among them Cathy Abraham, Zander Blom, Guy du Toit, Ricky Dyaloyi, Dylan Lewis, Lionel Smit, Penelope Stutterheime and Florian Wozniak.
