Dissent: Notes from Underground

Maarten Baas, Nacho Carbonell, Wendell Castle, Vincenzo De Cotiis and others

Carpenters Workshop Gallery, Ladbroke Hall

Oct 13 – Dec 19, 2026 Notting Hill

Sculptural furniture and design objects by Nacho Carbonell, Wendell Castle, Vincenzo De Cotiis, Pieter Maes and others.

The show opens a new underground exhibition space at Ladbroke Hall, gathering designers whose work departs from convention in form and function. Carbonell’s Dune Cabinet evokes desert topography with a bark-like exterior; Castle’s Suspended Disbelief is a stained ash seat and table of more than four meters.

De Cotiis’s DC2349 Desk pairs onyx with recycled fibreglass, and Maes’s Sofa PM101 is covered in hand-stitched shearling. Maarten Baas, Ingrid Donat, Martin Laforêt, Wonmin Park, Robert Stadler and Charles Trevelyan also show work.
