Solo exhibition
Spotlight: Brittney Leeanne Williams
Sep 19 – Nov 7, 2026 Arts District
New paintings and works on paper in which eyes, tulips, mountains and curled bodies emerge from saturated red or blue gradients.
Williams builds her forms from tiny points of color, so figures seem to gather and dissolve along their edges. She treats the works as talismans: each centers on a pupil, a black dot or a gap in the paint, often held inside a tulip shape that recalls a huddle of women around a red and Black female figure.
Hilma af Klint and Laura Aguilar’s desert portraits are among her references.
