Barbara Danzi

Large improvisational abstract quilts, cut freehand from fabric, by a Los Angeles artist.

Danzi cuts each piece of fabric freehand and assembles it into large abstract quilts with a painterly look, in which the seams read as hand-drawn lines. Her designs draw on organic shapes from the natural world, informed by her engineering degree, design study and outdoor adventures.

She exhibits internationally and is a juried member of Studio Art Quilt Associates.
