Kyle De LottoWorks on Paper
Sep 25 – Oct 24, 2026 Arts District
Small framed oil-on-paper paintings of domestic and everyday scenes: figures on beaches, a boy in a tree, monks, a lighthouse.
De Lotto’s works on paper, made quickly and often on the studio floor, are where his practice began. Their immediacy led him to drop stretcher bars and staple cut rolls of pre-primed canvas straight to the wall.
The paintings take ordinary household and family images, such as a faceless woman holding a surfboard or a boy caught mid-climb in a tree, and treat them with urgent, messy paint. The show pairs this with a grounded, earthly sense of spirituality.
