Framed photographic prints shown with ground glass, altered cameras, negatives and sketches from the artist’s process.

The title borrows the name of a mirage, in which light bent through a thermal inversion makes objects seem to hover above the horizon. Nizam, a Vancouver-based artist, treats photography as an expanded medium and builds inventive, process-driven ways of making images.

Alongside the prints, the show includes the tools and traces of that process. This is his first presentation with the gallery.
