Maryrose Cobarrubias MendozaAAAgent presents: Past Time

A three-part installation behind the doors of the gallery corridor, rebuilding the artist’s 1970s Southern California childhood home.

Behind the first door, a bas-relief shows a one-story family house from across the street at a child’s eye level; the second opens on an early-1970s interior of space-age appliances and family decor; the third leads into the girls’ bedroom. The tableaux are collaged and sculpted from wire, cloth, paper and wood.

Mendoza was born in Manila and lives in Los Angeles. The installation is presented by AAAgent.
