Los Angeles artists working in digital media, AI, sculpture, installation and performance consider what technology can and cannot preserve.
Organized by Kive Studio, the show takes its title from the keyboard command for saving and asks how data infrastructures, predictive systems and artificial intelligence shape what we perceive and remember. It looks at how value, preservation and control are built into both digital and physical systems.
It is curated by Kive Studio co-directors Hyoeun Kang and Isabel Lotus, with advisor Yasaman Sheri and contributor Lauren Lee McCarthy, and is paired with a public seminar series.
