New multi-panel tatreez embroideries of imagined landscapes and a large Smalti mosaic, in Nassar’s fifth solo show with the gallery.

Nassar’s hand-embroidered panels, cut as diamonds, hexagons and pentagons, combine patterned fields of Palestinian cross-stitch with hills and horizons, and can be hung in different arrangements. A mosaic, Jabalia, rebuilds animals and a palm tree from the floors of a fifth-century Byzantine monastery at Mukheitim in Gaza.

The title comes from a poem by Mahmoud Darwish. The show is paired with a presentation by The Third Line in London.
