Photography Tells Sculpture
More than sixty photographs of sculpture from the late 19th century to today, shown beside seven of the sculptures themselves.
Drawing on the museum’s little-known photographic archive, the show sets prints in nine thematic chapters next to seven works from its sculpture collection dating from the 11th to the 17th century, to show how lighting, framing and viewpoint shape the way sculpture is seen and remembered. Photographers include Clarence Kennedy, with his pre-1928 study of the Princess of Urbino. Last day Oct 4.
