InterNationalgalerie 1: National Museum in Warsaw

Alte Nationalgalerie

Jun 18, 2026 – Jan 17, 2027 Mitte

The National Museum in Warsaw shows its collection under the title “Inventing Myths”, opening a new series of guest presentations by national galleries.

In its new InterNationalgalerie series the Alte Nationalgalerie gives a dedicated room to a different national gallery or museum from abroad over the coming years, a nod to a collection that was international from its opening in 1876. Warsaw goes first, with works including Jacek Malczewski’s The Polish Hamlet (1903) and Jan Matejko’s portrait of three of his children (1870).
